Paqpaq Track Days Powered by ice-watch - March 2011

Paqpaq Track Days Session 3 - Powered by ice-watch

Following two successful track day sessions held in 2010, Paqpaq Track Days Team, under the direction of Tonio Darmanin is gearing up to travel yet again together with a group of car enthusiasts to the well renowned race track circuit in Racalmuto, Sicily.

Paqpaq Track Days is set for yet another 3 days of car racing, engine revving, healthy competition as well as a few hand pi...cked venues for food tasting and group drives. The next Paqpaq Track days edition - powered by ice watch - is scheduled for the following dates : Thursday 31st March (public holiday), 1st April (track day) and 2nd April.

What happens at Paqpaq Track days ?

Paqpaq Track days are an opportunity for local drivers to take their car overland, together with the Paqpaq TV team to test the speed and handling abilities of their own vehicles in a safe and controlled environment, away from the public roads. They take place twice a year on tracks in Europe and are suitable for complete beginners to professional racers. We take it a step further and offer a culture experience at the food tasting and Sicilian restaurants we have included in the 3 days.

On a typical grouped track day, attendees are split up into 3 or 4 groups depending on their car’s performance and their track experience. The circuit usually opens at 9.00 am with the advanced group for 20 minutes, followed by the intermediate group for 20 minutes and so on. This rotation will repeat until midday or 1pm when the circuit closes for lunch. A hour break is taken whilst circuit restaurant is open for food and refreshments. Quite often people use this hour to go and refuel their vehicle. The circuit re-opens for the sessions after lunch during which there are the sessions for the passengers to join in the fun too.
